Perfect base for a Rutherglen district wedding

Our son was recently married at one of the Rutherglen district wineries and we based ourselves at Mulberry House for the big day and a few days before and afterwards. A key factor in choosing the house was that it was only 10 mins drive to wedding venue and walking to the main street and shops at other times was easy. The house was perfect as we had various relatives with us from overseas and interstate and the extra space was very handy – all four bedrooms are comfortably furnished. Cheryl was very helpful during the booking process and with guidance on local eateries and wineries for our group to visit on the other days we stayed. The house has almost every comfort for a week/weekend and some surprises such as a free bottle of wine and a fridge and pantry with a few staple items.’

‘Great place to stay the house was very comfortable with top quality products. It was in a very quiet location with a lovely garden with both sun and shade. It was like home from home and very clean and well looked after. Sunday – Thursday $179 per night for 2 guests (and extra $50 per person after 2 guests).

New Guest Review – Jo & family stayed Easter 2017 at Mulberry House Rutherglen

Lovely house in a lovely place

We had 5 days in Rutherglen over Easter with 2 kids and 2 sets of grandparents. Mulberry House was easily big enough to fit us all in comfortably, plenty of room in the dining and living areas as well as outside. Everything was clean, bathroom and kitchen fittings new, and beds and sofas exceedingly comfy. Great location, an easy stroll into Rutherglen and perfectly placed for driving or riding around to the wineries. Cheryl was great to deal with and I hope to go back with my own bike rather than hiring one from the visitor centre! Would definitely recommend Mulberry House.

Mulberry House has become available for Booking on weekend 19 & 20 May at special reduced price of $189 per night (plus $15 for each extra person staying after 2 people). Sleeps 8 comfortably (4 separate bedrooms).

Many groups of friends and families having been staying at Mulberry House in recent months.Mulberry House has had guests staying for the past 4 consecutive weekends and a group are currently staying (long weekend in Vic); appreciating the opportunity to enjoy the Tastes of Rutherglen Wine and Food weekend and the spectacular autumn weather. Next weekend I have a bride and bridesmaids staying at Mulberry House, while they relax and enjoy prior to the big Wedding day!

Mulberry House accommodates 8 guests comfortably in 4 separate bedrooms – 2 with Queen Beds, 1 with Double bed and 1 with 2 Single beds. An extra 2 people are able to be accommodated (total of 10 guests) on the Sofa double bed.

We had a beautiful stay at Mulberry House. The facilities were fantastic. The house had everything we needed and really felt like home. It was very very clean, which made our stay lovely. The outside area was beautiful to sit at. We also loved that there were items in the fridge eg. butter etc we could use. Thank you so much Mulberry house it really was a fab place to stay.
